Phone Friend

You don’t know what to do when the girl calls, because your father doesn’t allow you to talk to her. Well, guess what? If she’s really inappropriate, you don’t have to let her call!

How? You can set boundaries to avoid speaking to her. Don’t pick up the phone and tell her that she isn’t a good friend. You can explain to her in a nice way that sometimes it happens that a girl may be a great and fantastic friend, but when she’s together with someone else, it isn’t too good. Make boundaries with her if she isn’t a healthy friend.

While she may be calling a lot, and continue calling, eventually she’ll realize that she shouldn’t be calling you anymore. It’ll be hard and take some time, but it’s worth it! Think of how you can create good friendships!

If you feel that she is a good friend for you and your dad just doesn’t understand you, it’s time for a discussion. Don’t be upset at him or go behind his back. Tell him that you’d like to talk with her, and you’d like to understand why he feels that she isn’t a good friend for you.
